Achieving higher accuracy and reliability in emotion recognition across diverse populations, cultures, and contexts. Also, real-time processing and application in real in the wild scenarios for which there is no available data. Finally, multimodal integration presents technical challenges in Emotion AI
What is the biggest challenge for ML now? What breakthrough are you expecting in the future?
ML still and always relies on data quality and quantity. That could be considered one of the biggest challenges from which arises a need for robustness and generalization. Furthermore, training sophisticated ML models requires significant computational resources, which can be expensive and environmentally taxing. Thus, improving the efficiency of model training and inference is an ongoing area of research. Finally, ensuring the interpretability and explainability of ML models is really crucial, especially in domains like healthcare or finance, where decisions impact lives. The breakthroughs am expecting in the future are related to the explainable AI area, the self-supervised learning, and the quantum ML
